[Opinions] Phineas / Finneas
What are your thoughts and feelings about Phineas / Finneas?
I've liked Phineas for years but recently started thinking about Finneas instead since it would be easier for people to understand how to pronounce it where I'm living.
Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

I prefer Phineas, nice name
Billie Eilish's brother's name is spelled Finneas. Also, Julia Roberts's son, Phinnaeus. That spelling isn't great imo though. I think Phineas is a cool name, very intriguing. Sounds like the name of an artsy man, like a painter or an author.
I really like Phineas! The only thing that puts me off is the nickname Finn, which I don't like at all. So Finneas doesn't work at all for me
I love both variations, they're classic and fun. Normally I greatly prefer the original spelling but Finneas really freshens it up and I'm a sucker for Finn- names.
Also, the association is a plus as far as I'm concerned.

I considered it for Oliver and kind of regret not using it. I think it's a cool name, and Finny is cute for a nn.
I quite like Phineas. It calls to mind a wacky gentleman.
Finneas is cheap.

...and Ferb.
I can only think of Phineas and Ferb.
I can only think of Phineas and Ferb. I don't really like the way that it sounds.

Not a problem where I'm living though.
Then go for it.
Same.
I liked the show enough, but the name I was never attracted to. It’s not boring though, I’ll give it that.

Phineas is great, it's so wacky and full of personality. Finneas isn't nearly as nice to me, but if it would make pronunciation easier where you are, I can understand the appeal.

I really like it, the Phineas version, and I keep forgetting about it though, so I should get onto that and have it added to my PNL after this.
Like where you live, the Finneas version is easier for people to understand and spell than Phineas where I am, and the bearer will be avoiding having to spell it out every time they were asked out loud about their name to be written down somewhere.
