What do you think of Reggie for a girl?

I don’t like it. Probably also because I’ve known one Reggie, ever, and he was a big, tall guy with red hair and beard, and was super loud and funny. So, that’s the picture that comes to mind. I can’t picture it on a little girl.
One of my grandma’s, her middle name was Regina. She was very proper and mannerly, courteous and lady-like. I can’t imagine ever hearing her called Reggie as a nickname.

I came across a female character from a show named Reggie, so I thought I would ask about it.

It sounded unnecessarily sarcastic and rude, to me. You don't have to like the name, but it seems like you went out of your way to talk about how stupid you thought it was.
