[Opinions] Re: Evelina “Eva”

I prefer Evelyn (EEVlin); Evelina is inconveniently long and I don't enjoy the rhythm.
My aunt was named Eva; I asked my grandmother why, and she said "She was our first child, and we liked the fact that Eva has no nickname forms". I asked if they'd have named a boy baby Adam, and she was very startled: clearly, that had never occurred to them. Then my aunt came in and offered to make tea; Gran said "Yes, please, Eve" wihout blinking, and I said nothing.
