[Opinions] Shiloh
There’s a girl in my class named Shiloh. What do you think of the name? What do you think of it on a boy?_______________________________________________________

Shiloh is such a great name! I would use it for a girl, even though it’s fine for a boy too, I just prefer it for a girl.

Very Jolie-Pitt. I don't think anyone really cared about this name until they used it.I don't hate it, though. I don't think of the Civil War battle, it's just a soft sounding, lovely name to me. I think it works equally well for a girl or a boy. It doesn't have a gender.I know you didn't ask for combos, but Shiloh Jamison is calling to me.

My cousin is actually naming her daughter Shiloh, she’ll join brothers Jaxon & Jace.I think it’s a nice name, not particularly pretty but nice nonetheless and has a certain charm to it.

I don’t know why, but it always sounded like a dog name to me. I think for a human it sounds feminine, but unisex for a pet.

There is a Newbery Medal winning children's book about a dog named Shiloh and a young boy who tries to save him from his abusive owner. Maybe that's why it sounds like a dog name to you.

Don't really like it, don't like any of the shy names

I just hear the Neil Diamond song in my head, every time. No bad thing! But in the lyrics, Shiloh is a girl and that's how I instinctively think of it. I don't like it much - starts with Shy and ends with Low; not cheerful - and it's geographical as well which I'm not keen on.

I like it on both genders - it has a lovable meaning.
