What do you think of Lyra? I just recently made a new friend named Lyra. What about some middle names?

Lyra in HDM got her name because she could lie her way out of trouble! That has always put me off the name, though the character is wonderful. I would never think of using it, because I'm so very fond of Laura.

I know the mother of a Phoebe Lyra Kate.

Lyra is my favorite celestial name other than Stella or Estella. I've never met anyone named Lyra. It's really pretty.

Lyra's been a long-time favorite of mine, ever since I first read His Dark Materials as a teenager. It's still in my top favorites for a girl and one I'd seriously consider using.

My favorite combo is Lyra Artemisia Leigh

I love it, one of my favourites. Perfect example of a short, fiery choice that has lots in common with more popular names, but is far more unexpected. I really struggle with middles for Lyra, as nothing quite fits the image I have of her (basically the His Dark Materials character). However these have a nice flow:
