[Opinions] Devon

Devon is IMO a gal name referring to a place.
I like it.
I don't like Devon for boys. It's not a unisex name to me. Looks wrong.
But since it's a place, I could see how it could be used as a unisex name
Devin is an entirely different name, and it's for guys.
I don't care for it but it's not awful.
I get annoyed at the idea that Devon f is just a variant of it.
On a girl, Devin is a cross-gender name, like Dylan. Not my style.

Really? For me it’s the complete opposite. I find it fairly unisex but it just looks kinda awkward on a girl for me. Maybe it’s because on the -von ending. I would probably do Sevan if I wanted something similar to that.
I had a friend named Devin who was a female in my childhood days. I met 2 boy Devins before. I still find it more masculine even though the first Devin I met was a girl.

I've only met one Devon and she was a gal. I didn't like the name before that... she made me like it.
I've only seen Devin on guys and it's very guy, probably because it reminds me of Kevin and Gavin.

I'm not a fan of geographical names, but the only one I know spells it Devin (I think! Maybe Devyn?) and is a South African of Indian descent. And he's most definitely male, so I don't get a unisex vibe at all.
As county names go, it's a whole lot better than Sussex. Or Rutland.

I dont like it at all, more masculine

It’s alright. It certainly isn’t the worst name, but it definitely isn’t my favourite. Makes me think of Devon, England, which isn’t a bad thing. Only for a boy though, not feminine at all.
