[Opinions] Arielle
What are you opinions on Arielle? It's pronounced "Ar-ee-ell" (ar as in the word car). Ariella is pretty as well, but I don't like it as much."You're a firework. Show your obstacles your brightest colors."-MeRate my name lists too!

I think Arielle is really nice, but I dislike the pronunciation of "Ar-ee-ell".For that reason, I prefer the French one.

I adore the name Arielle, it’s my DD’s mn and it’s so beautiful. We pronounce it Ar-ee-ell too and that’s partly why we chose that spelling. Ariella is pretty too, but Arielle is nicer to me.

I love Ariella. It’s my niece’s name. We call her Ella. We pronounce it airy-ella. I like the airy pronunciation better and prefer the spelling Ariel.

I was pronouncing it wrong this whole time..so did the Disney Princess advertisers! XD
Air-ee-ehl..
I don't know if I like the sound of the name, pronounced the RIGHT way: Ahr-ee-ehl. Oh my.
In that case, I prefer Ariella. Both are nice, though.
Its interesting to me that Ariel spelled this way, is unisex somewhere in the world. My goal in life is to use all Feminine to Masculine names or Distinctly Feminine names on my Boy Characters. I'm testing the water. I wanna see if I can create a name trend. Unisex names for life!!

The character in The Tempest, Ariel, is presumed masculine and would of course have been played by a boy in Shakespeare's theatre. But (s)he is magical, not like us, and probably shouldn't be restricted to ordinary human categories. Who knows what fairies get up to when we're not looking, and with whom?Arielle, with its Frenchified ending, makes its gender preference clear, which is an advantage. As for pronunciation, I've only ever heard AIR-ee-el on stage, and never encountered a human with either Ariel or Arielle as a name IRL.

Outside of North America I have met a few male Ariels pronounced the right way. The name is that as uncommon for males.
