[Opinions] Re: Rian (M)

When I first saw it, I had no idea that it was a variant of Ryan. I don't know, I and Y both sound like 'ee' or 'ie' in English, which can be pretty confusing. Both of the spellings make phonetic sense, but they also don't. I had been pronouncing it as Re-ahn in my head. Oops..
To cause less confusion, you should choose Ryan as a first name, or Rian as a middle name. I've always loved the name Ryan! However, I was expecting a variant like Ryen or even Ryann (different from Ryann for girls; for boys, it would be pronounced the same as Ryan).
So Rian is interesting. And I agree with Belpheobe, it looks feminine somehow.
