[Opinions] Dasher
What would you think if you met a person named Dasher?
Would you think they were male or female?
**After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

Male and I would think it was ridiculous and about Santa’s reindeer. I would hope they would go by Dash, not that that is much better. It would be tragically ironic if this person moved slowly.
I like the name Dasher, but it sounds like a reindeer, a videogame mechanic, or a videogame character who's really good with guns and can do crazy jumps over cliffs. He'd be the main character or the main character's best friend or the main character's arch nemesis. He's someone important, basically.
I wouldn't make assumptions about him because of his name, but I would wonder if his parents were a fan of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, or if they were just trying to be hip or unique.
Cool nicknames would be Dash, Dashy, Daz or Dazzy.
It sounds very masculine to me. I would think that a Dasher was a boy.

I'd think it was better than Bucky or Prancer or Vixen but not as cool as Dancer or Blitzen. Then I'd be distracted by how close it is to 'dashing' and think it was almost as silly as Charmer would be.
I'd assume it was masculine if I was just reading it, same as I would Dashiell, Cash, Asher, or Walker.

I would think "LMAO" and then "Oh like the reindeer."
Dasher is a male name man, he's the ALPHA reindeer.

OT but deer are matriarchal animals so if there were an alpha it would be a female
Not necessarily? There's still dominant bucks, they just don't compete with dominant does and vice versa.

I learned something new today.
Probably male ... a male dog, perhaps. On a person I would first assume that person was a track star and Dasher is their sports nn.
It's also the moving part of a butter churn.
And of course, a reindeer.

Hi !!!
My first thought was Dash (a detergent brend).
This because here in Italy the reindeers names are translated: Dasher here is Fulmine (lightning, because "fast as lightning").
To me Dasher is kind a rapper name, not a full name. Masculine in any case.

I mean, I think of a reindeer first. I guess male?
There was a pro wrestler named Dasher Hatfield. Apart from the reindeer that's the first place my brain goes. Quite like the nn Dash. Would assume masculine
Every time I hear the name Dashiell, I think of someone with a speech impediment saying "Dasher". So that's what immediately comes to mind for me. Followed by the reindeer, of course.
I'd assume Dasher was a family name. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't though.
I'd assume male.
