[Opinions] Posh British siblings (Cosmo)
I love searching through birth announcements from the UK newspaper The Telegraph. Here are sibsets (and a few singletons) that include the name Cosmo. It's interesting to see the recurrence of certain siblings, like Caspar/Casper, Hector, Romilly and Ottilie. Any favorites?

Yes, many of them are the epitome of 'poshness', imho.
Cosmo is definitely not my cup of tea!
Cleodie Florence Poppy - is interesting! Especially Cleodie.
As for the other names I can see why vintage Florence and symbolic Poppy are popular, but Ottilie and Freya?
Recently I've read an article about an American couple, who named their daughter Ottilie:
"If you say it with a British accent, it sounds really good!"'
but eventually changed it to Margot, because no one could remember and pronounce it.
I thought that Odette is more popular than Ottilie! Obviously I was so wrong...
Odette is not on the UK chart, while Ottilie is 122nd in 2020.
And Freya is 12th! (UK)
Freya is one of those names I just missed, didn't notice coming.

I used to have a westie named Cosmo. His brother was Darwin.
On a lot of the longer combos, I wish they'd stopped short. And a lot the sisters' names I liked individually but not in the combos they were in; the flow seemed off to me.
It looks like it showed up with Kit / Christopher a lot. Also noticed repeats of Nicholas, Raphael, George, John, Alec...

Artemis Cosmo?
Well... besides the fact that I really don't like the name Cosmo, at all, there are some names / combos here that I do like:
Iona Everly Wren
Romilly Winter (but not Bo)
Romilly Elsa (but not with Margaret)
Casper Timothy Rupert
Ottilie Julia (this is gorgeous)
Wilfred John Enzo
Ivo Balthazar Michael (I'm guessing Shellard was someone's surname)
Natalie Caroline (I'm not big on either name personally, but this is objectively good)
Orlando Frederick James
William Nicholas (but not Cosmo, obviously)
Freya Elaine & Caspar David (I'm not very familiar with Yoruba names, so I can't really comment on those)
Olivia
Sebastian
Augustine Geoffrey Hugh (manages to contain three separate pronunciations for the letter G)
Circe Mary (Circe!)
Oscar & Daphne
Lara
Miles Zachariah
Francesca & Johannes
Nicholas Willoughby Hayden (but again, not Cosmo)
David Alexander
Anthony Raphael
The combo Artemis Cosmo gave me the biggest eyebrow raise. I've seen Artemus used for a boy (like the character Artemus Gordon), but Artemis is a Greek goddess. I legitimately no idea if Artemis Cosmo is a boy or girl.

In the US Artemis is used in unisex, I suspect in part because of Artemis Fowl. I've actually known more male artemis's than female. And at any rate regardless of the origin it definitely has a more masculine sound to it than feminine imo. I myself am not planning for more than 3 children, 4 at max, but if for some reason I had multiples and they all happen to be boys I would give serious consideration to Artemis for boy #5 or #6.

In the US, I think Artemis as masculine might be more common than Artemas or Artemus (not that any of them are actually popular). I think it's been used that way in various places sporadically for a long time. And there's Artemisio, etc.

I commented on a couple but then got too tired. Really interesting to see the repeats though. Cosmo, Casper, Ottilie, they’ll be co-opted by the middle class next and then maybe, gasp, us vulgar Americans. Tee hee.
Polly Clemency - what is this British tendency to ignore all flow?
Cosmo Alec - and to give nicknames as middle names? It’s so strange.
Cosmo Aubone Louis - this is beautiful
Iona Everly Wren - only time Everly has seemed at all elegant to me.
Romilly Winter Bo - ridiculous
Caspar Constantine Boothby - this is over the top. Lord.
Ottilie Julia - this is beautiful
Artemis Cosmo - this is a lot
Natalie Caroline - feels so pedestrian next to these other names
Christabel - so pretty

Lmao I have often wondered about the Telegraph BA tendency to ignore all flow. It's almost chic?
Was also shocked to see Everly and Natalie Caroline in this set of names.
