It’s got that back-of-the-throat feeling when I say it that I hate. Plus, it’s a bit cheesy, and I think the kid would get a lot of “…you’ll what?” responses. And finally, I don’t love names that give personal info away. With a name like Yule people immediately know your approximate birthday and that your parents probably celebrate Christian holidays. Some people wouldn’t mind that I’m sure, but the older I get, the more I realize how important it is to only give out info on yourself when you feel comfortable. (I know a lot of the names I like are traditionally Judeo-Christian, but many are used more globally now so there’s still an element of mystery.)

I wouldn't think it's a given they were born in December (most holiday/month/season names are not literally descriptive anymore, in my experience) or Christian. It does sound Christian, pagan, or generally northern European.

I kind of like it. I had a great, great-uncle named Yulas pronounced Yule-is. I don’t know what his middle name was, but I think Yule would pair best with a classic middle name like Yule Alexander, Yule Thomas or Yule James. Brothers: Judson, Tate, Levi. Sisters: Sadie, Elizabeth, Mary

I like it as a quirky NN for Eulalia. As a full name, it's weirder but reminds me a bit of Jewel, Pascale, and Raoul. Siblings are Loveday and Equinox, or Peter and Saffron, or Nieves and Lux, or Gwen and Oakley.MN would be something that'd fit someone who lived in a cottage -
Yule Rosemary
Yule Dorothy
Yule Christobel
Yule Jerome
Yule TristanIt seems quaint to me but in a nice sophisticated way.
