[Opinions] Blakie
Today at the hospital a little toddler girl was being called Blakie or sometimes Blake. It sounded like blanket. Wdyt of those names for a girl?

My brother-in-laws sister just named her daughter Blakely, and my 3 year old nephew can't wrap his head around why they named her "Blanketly". Regardless of how many times he's corrected, he calls her Blanketly. It's hilarious.
Blakie reminds me of this.

Blake is nice on a boy but dreadful on a girl. And Blakie is... Good on a small child or a dog but horrendous on a human above the age of 8.
Hate it for a girl. Don't mind it for a boy.
At first glance I thought this said Blackie. :) Which I'm glad I took another look and realized it said Blakie. I like the name Blake for either gender. I can't say I like Blakie though. But I can't honestly say I don't like it either. But I'm just glad it's not Blackie. Sorry still half asleep my brain still isn't awake fully yet.
My son (7) is named Blake and we call him Blakey
Embarrassingly dreadful. But she'll grow up thinking it's normal, so the problem is ours rather than hers. And, with luck, in 25 years time she might be naming her own daughter Susan or Margaret.
It sounds like blanket
I don't like Blake at all for a girl and not much for a boy. It just sounds hard and cold. Blakie is just plain gross, like Mikey or Joshie or Jordie.
Oh Blakie is just horrible! It does sound like blankie.
I like Blake sans nickname though.
