[Opinions] Palmer
Honestly, this name strikes me as 100% masculine. It's very surnamey but nevertheless I like it.Thoughts?Would you rather use this name on a boy or a girl? What middle names would you use? What would you name a brother and a sister?

Marginally better for a boy but usable on no one. Ick.

I don’t know why my mind goes to these places. You’d think I’d grow up at some point. But it sounds like a synonym for a hand job.

Chosen deliberately, it reminds me of singer/actress Marianne Faithfull playing a sex worker who chose "Irina Palm" (the movie title) as a pseudonym. As a real surname, it mainly reminds me of Amanda Palmer. It reminds me of female musicians but seems gender neutral. It's about as unisex as Chandler or Parker, maybe.Palmer Hecate

I couldn't agree more, it's very much a surname and if used as a given name, it would work better on a boy.

It immediately reminds me of Sense & Sensibility where Hugh Laurie plays the Mr. (Thomas) Palmer perfectly. Therefore, masculine. "A grave-looking man . . . with an air of mote fashion and sense than his wife," Mr. Palmer acts in a consistently rude and boorish manner, probably to give himself importance. He complains because Sir John has no billiard room, declares his mother-in-law to be ill-bred, and continually insults or ignores his wife."
