[Opinions] O names from the Anglosphere
Replies
Owen has always been a favorite of mine. The rest can go.
Oscar is one of my favourite names ever. I don't think I can use it, but due to association boy do I love it. I also like Oz as a nickname, and depending on my mood, even Ozzie / Ozzy can work (because Ozzy Osbourne sometimes lives in my head uninvited for some reason).
I also really like:
Ocean... Océane is so much more effortlessly cool though.
October... every over-grown goth's favourite month, ofc.
Olwen
Opaline... prefer Opal. It's more...it is what it is... it owns itself and it's neat.
Ossian
Ottilie...lovely, also really like Ottoline, which is more clunky-chic.
Other O names I personally love:
Octavia
Olympia
Oona
Orphéa
Oisín
Ozias

I like Oliver, Oscar and Owen
Oberon and Titania very Shakespeare
Oliver I find meh. I like it but think it’s overused at the moment.
Olwen I love I discovered it a few years ago along with my Welsh ancestry. Sadly though Mr prefers Bronwen. I don’t dislike it I just think it’s another overused name. At least here it is.
Opaline I like but don’t love.
Orfhlaith I love but couldn’t use as the Gaelic spelling would cause too much confusion.
Osborn I like
Oscar I like but can’t shake the Sesame Street connection.
Ossian I love
Ottilie I love but sadly Mr doesn’t like.
Owen I don’t like due to association
Oz Clarke wine expert my dad played football with around 35-40 years ago.
Ozzy I think of a Turkish born woman on tv in Britain Ozge Albayrak known as Ozzy.
