I use to like it but my husband's sister-in-law has ruined it.

I like it a lot, I'm surprised to not know any but I guess it's dated. I would consider using it for a daughter for sure. Maybe I shouild start tossing it in combos.

The youngest baby (born this year) in my family was named Vera *vehr-ah, and I was happy they chose it over something like Harper.

Most definitely one one my favourite names. Even the virtue reference doesn't put me off

I like it, but not the VEER-a pronunciation. I prefer VEHR-a.

I like Vera, wouldn’t mind seeing it more.

I love Vera, it's 'cold' and sophisticated, imo.
For me this name is an epitome of elegance.
I'm not a fan of the meaning, though... but it's not a big deal, because, to be honest, I don't care about meanings that much.

Short and sweet. I don't get why it's so underrated now - it's gorgeous.

Verity is pretty as well, but I only have the chance to use Vera, since Verity is too foreign here.

My mother had an older friend named Vera, who was delightful, but even she couldn't make me fond of the name. I don't go for virtue names in general, usually, but I much prefer Verity to Vera. Better rhythm, and much better sound.
