[Opinions] Amythyst
Amythyst Kiah is a musician.
What do you think of this spelling of Amethyst?
Usually I dislike when people change spelling in word names, but the more I look at this one, the more I like it.

Amethyst is pretty, Amythist feels like a typo.
Horrible! How can anyone look at it and not think that the first three letters absolutely have to sound like Amy? And -thy- like 'thy', as in 'will be done'?
If it was unrecognizable to me, I'd read it like "A mythist" before I would "Amy thy(st)"...because the myth part sticks out to me more than Amy. Meth sticks out to me in Amethyst as well.
I guess it might make more sense in my accent, because I tend to say Jenny like Ginny (and don't really say Amethyst with an eh sound). She's from the same general area I am.

A no go for me, double ys are rarely attractive in my experience
Terrible just make it Amy or amethyst
I dislike it - the jumpy Ys make me think of those uncannily animated childrens' cartoons. It doesn't have to make sense, it's shiny! Wee!
I prefer the original spelling Amethyst, because they would have to correct people all the time and they might mispronounce it as Amy-thyst.
