What do you think of Porcia, the original form of Portia? I think it looks softer than Portia. I'm not bothered by the Porcia-porcine relationship.

You aren't, but I am. It's quite vivid to me. I don't think Portia is improved by a softer look.
I love Porcia Ottoline... a lot of these are nice enough, but Ottoline is such a special name. Actually it's Portia Ottoline that I love but don't tell.

I love Portia; I am, however, bothered by the Porcia-porcine relationship. All I see there is pork.

It doesn't look softer to me because I am conditioned already to see Portia as the same sound as portion, whereas I look at Porcia and think, oh Porkia! And with soft C, I hear 'poor Sia' or 'por si' in Spanish. It sounds okay but seems more awkward than Portia to me.
