[Opinions] Payge
I met a kid with this spelling today. I think it’s bad. What’s your fave spelling of Paige? Do you like it?

Paige is alright, but... Pretty much the only name where I actually like sticking a random "y" in there is Faye as compared to Fae, and maybe Kathryn as compared to Katherine (I prefer Catherine over both of those spellings, though). I actually kind of despise when people do that to a lot of names, since it just results in them looking awkward.

Oh that's awful. The only spelling I like is Paige

Sometimes people do alternate spellings to be unique or because they like the look of certain letters. For example, Katherine vs. Catherine because you prefer a C over a K, or vice versa. Along this line, some people prefer a Y for the same reason (Ex. Kathryn). I try not to be judgmental about different spellings, as my own name is a "unique" spelling. However, Payge just looks awful. The more I look at this spelling, the more I hate it.

I don't hate it. It does strike me as trying to be unique but it doesn't really bother me. I don't really care for Paige or Payge and I don't think swapping the I for an Y makes much of a difference, it certainly doesn't do it any favours but it also doesn't really make it much worse.

I don’t like it. Paige is ok but not anywhere near a favorite of mine. I like it better as a middle name.

Ugh, just use Paige. I think Paige is an alright name.

Payge looks incredibly awkward, so I agree with you—it's bad. Paige is the way to go, even if it's not really that great of a name to begin with.

Paige is fine as long as it is spelled Paige, otherwise it’s unnecessary and confusing. I work with a Paje and I just wonder why her parents did that.

Every time I meet a parent that uses a Y to replace I unnecessarily to be "creative" a little part of me dies inside. Paige is fine. I like it as a middle but find it insubstantial as a first.

I think it is totally revolting. I find Page silly, and Paige only slightly less so, but sticking a y in the middle is pointless: it doesn't change the pronunciation and it certainly doesn't look convincing: maybe suitable for a minor character in something like Star Wars, but not at this end of the galaxy.
