[Opinions] Aphra
I'm growing increasingly fond of Aphra, which I've only ever pronounced the way Africa is pronounced. I greatly prefer "AY-fra" (like aphid or Avery), but I don't think that's a standard or intuitive pronunciation. What do you think of the name? I think "dust" is a poetic meaning.
Combos, of course:
Aphra Angelica
Aphra Antonia
Aphra Betony
Aphra Blossom
Aphra Celestina / Celestine
Aphra Cicely
Aphra Claudine
Aphra Clotilde
Aphra Dorothy
Aphra Eloise

I like it, though yeah, AY-fra wouldn't be intuitive for me.
I think it's spunky and antique seeming.
It reminds me of names like Audra, Twyla, Lyra, Isla, Dinah, Raya, Sally, which I wouldn't normally group together.
I think these are nice combos...

Aphra Hortense, Aphra Jemima, Aphra Jocasta are interesting but in a specific overbearingly 18th century way, like they seem like they belong in a museum. I get that vibe from it in general and some of the other combos but a lot more strongly with those 3.
Also, I think Aphra Peony is the first Peony combo I've ever thought was decent.

This name is the colour of turquoise, I freaking hate turquoise.
Don't like it Aph ra, Af ra
Aphra Behn is awesome, and the reason I love this name. I've always pronounced it AHF-rə.
For a brief time I had this GP in my Top 10, and the two combos I weighed back and forth were Aphra Penelope and Aphra Persephone. I clearly thought Aphra needed a middle name with more Ps. (shrug)
Of your combos, I like:
Aphra Betony
Aphra Celestine
Aphra Juliet (this might be my new favorite!)
Aphra Leonie (though I think I prefer Aphra Leona)
Aphra Leonora (though I think I prefer Aphra Leonor, or even Aphra Lenore)
Aphra Melusine
The combo Aphra Helena has also just occurred to me.

Thumbs down!
My only association with the name is Aphra Behn, and pronounce it the same way you do. I dislike AY-fra.
My favourite of yours is Aphra Melanie, because Melanie doesn't get enough love.
Aphra Alice
Aphra Elaine
Aphra Sophia
Aphra Simone
Aphra Belinda
Aphra Blanche
Aphra Delphine
Aphra Lucasta
Aphra Estella
