[Opinions] Sighting :)
Two siblings at the restaurant I’m helping out at: Story (m) and Pepper (f). Siblings. I was pretty surprised. Definitely not my taste in names but still kind of fun to see, I suppose.

Glad I didn't have their parents naming me!
Pepper sounds more like a quirky nickname, or a pet name. Story could work on a person I guess..I prefer it on a girl. Its kind of out-there, though. Maybe better on a fictional character. As a sibset, it kind of clashes. I wonder how the names came about.

Story is kinda cool. Pepper is cute for a pet. (Or I guess a comic book character).
There is a well-known sociologist and expert on sexuality in the USA named Pepper Schwartz.
About 20 years ago I had occasion to speak to her on the phone once about an academic issue, and couldn't resist at the end of the conversation asking her about her name. She told me she was born Judith Schwartz. As an American woman born in 1945, when she was in high school there were several other girls named Judith or Judy. She hated her name because it was too common. Her brother helped her come up with "Pepper" as a nickname. She soon was using it in every context and later legally changed her name to Pepper.

Wow, don't like either
I like Story. I probably wouldn’t ever use it and I think I like it better for a girl. Pepper is awful.
Interesting.... I wonder if the mother had been at the bookstore and reading titles when she picked them, a children's book and a cook book. I really dislike Pepper, if one must use a seasoning as a name there are more flattering ones like Saffron, Sage, Ginger, Clove, Basil or Rosemary. I cook with lavender sometimes if one wanted to count that. Pepper is such a harsh sound to my ears. Story I tolerate but think it is best on girls or non-binaries.

Outside of saffron or clove, I agree that these are all way better than pepper if you’re going to go for a spice.
Pepper’s the name of my dog, so it was really strange seeing it on a human. Sage is my spice-name of choice!
