[Opinions] New Baby in the Family (a bit of a doozy)
My cousin just recently welcomed a daughter named River. River joins her big brother Hudson. I like River for a boy, but I’m not really feeling it for a girl. I also think the sibset is too matchy.

Very unisex to me, but also cringe.

Very cheesy. Sorry.

Not only is the sibset super cheesy, but if they have more kids they’ve painted themselves into a corner. The next one could be Valley, but then what?

The good news is I don’t think they would be having more kids, but yeah I see what you are saying.

Ouch.

I’m Australian and that was still my first thought.
Individually, fine, together- major cringe.

I definitely prefer River on a boy and Hudson and River are weird together.

What do you think of using Reverie instead?

I wonder if the Hudson River has any significance to the parents or if they just like the sound

I guess River was a name that my cousin always liked. She had another name picked out originally but once the baby came she decided she didn’t look that and needed a new one.

I actually quite like River, but in that set... a bit much, no?

Wow, don't like either name, I'm not in the USA but I'm sure everyone knows the Hudson river

The theme is pretty cheesy. Is it intentional? There are probably lots of people who don't know about the Hudson River, so it'll be fine. I can't tell if River and Hudson legitimately have the same kind of energy or if they just seem to because they do technically "belong" together.

I guess River was a name my cousin always loved. No idea why she didn’t use it for her older one, unless she only likes it for a girl,

I like River. Hudson is ok. But they're annoying together.

I like River (prefer it for a boy though) and Hudson is okay, but as a sibset... No.
