[Opinions] Misty
WDYT? It just popped into my head. I would never use but it sounds very sweet. It does have teasing potenial like strippers and the word musty which is such a shame. Overall, it's a pretty name. :)

Terrible. Very dated. Never met a Misty I liked.
Cute name in theory but could be made fun of since it's close to musty :/
Meh, I don't like it. I much prefer Maisie.
Misty, like Lucky and Happy, is so obviously adjectival that I instinctively avoid it. A misty, moisty morning? "Welcome home! We missed you, Misty!" No. Really, just No.
I kind of like it but I would never use it. It makes me think of the character in Pokémon, and it was the name of my grandma’s old dog.
Why does it make you think of strippers?
I like it but I don't like it for a real baby. For a doll it's ok.

No, I don't think it reminds me of strippers. But I heard other people associate with this name. It's a shame.
It’s very pretty, I like it, but I just can’t imagine this name on an adult and I doesn’t really sound like a human name. I knew a Misti. It’s very cutesy, I could picture it on a baby but idk about a grown woman. It fits with names like Stormy, Cloudy, and Sunny.

I think of Misty from Pokemon.
I knew a Misty growing up, and I liked it then. It's crisp sounding and unassuming and works fine as a name IRL, but when I think of it now in the abstract, I think "misty-eyed". It's maybe about as sentimental seeming as Lavender or Meadow but not comical like Maudlin would be.
I think it was popular mainly because Christy and Mindy were.
I also feel like Autumn and Wendy have a similar vibe.
Misty Joan is cute in a retro way.

Don't like it
Misty is a name I want to love, but somehow don't. Maybe it's the cultural associations. I feel like I should like it more than I do.
As a country girl growing up I'd only known horses with this name so it feels weird to conceptualize it on a person in the same way that Stormy is. Still more wearable than Stormy but I think there are better choices of a similar fashion imo.
I went to school with both a Stormy and a Misty. It's funny, I've never thought about it, but Stormy was so emo, and Misty was the opposite.
