Never understood the hate. Grayson is a nice name. Even if I prefer Gray as a unisex name. I don’t like Grey or Grey even if it is the same thing.

I'm kind of bias to Grayson cause my mom's maiden name was Gray. So, Grayson looks and feels right to me more.

I personally think Grayson's suitable as a given name. I'd prefer the spelling Grayson.Anyone in the United States considering giving this name to a son should realize, though, that when you combine the spellings it is now among the top ten names for boys. I suspect a lot of parents now giving it have no idea just how popular it is.

I prefer Greyson.

One of my cousins has a 12 year old Greyson, and on the other side of the family, my cousin has an 8 or 9 year old Grayson, who's occasionally called "Gray". I think it's preppy and trendy, particularly with people who might like Grace or Mason; or maybe echoing Jason and Gregory. It functions ok. I think it's supposed to come across as sophisticated and active. Greyson's and Grayson's siblings are Lily and Julia respectively.I prefer the color spelled grey and the surname spelled Gray.

I prefer the look of Greyson, too, but "gray" is the more common spelling of the color in the U.S. so I see why Grayson is more common. That said, an old acquaintance of mine recently had a son they named Greyson, and we're American; but I think they chose that spelling because it looks better with the surname (contains Es, but no As).As for the name itself, I kind of like it - which is high praise from me, considering I'm not normally a fan of -son names or obvious surnames as first names.

I prefer the Grey spelling to Gray, no doubt becuse I'm not American. As a name, it's just another lnfn and therefore unattractive to me. And, on people, grey hair comes with age and Grey (or Gray) therefore seems silly as a nn for a young person.

I feel the same way. I never thought I would like this name, but I've warmed up to it. I should prefer Greyson because Gray is the American spelling, but I prefer Grayson because it reminds me of Dick Grayson, who is Robin and Nightwing in the DC universe.

Not a fan of either but I think Grayson is better as far as spelling.

I prefer Greyson

I don't typically like "son" names, so like the other commenters I prefer Gray/Grey on its own. I do like Greyson/Grayson more than most "son" names though;

I usually prefer the name Grey, but when it comes to Grayson I prefer it with an a. Idk maybe it just looks better next to the o?
