What would you think if you met someone named Swynford?

I would think it was an odd name.
All I can think of when I read it is “swine”… even though that’s probably not at all how you pronounce it.
I still don’t like it even if it’s pronounce with the short I sound.
I would most definitely use Ford as a nickname.
I know a young boy named Ford, and he has certainly changed my perception of the name…
I still don’t love it, but it’s an enormous improvement on Swynford.

Remove the "ynf" sequence and you got sword. The name itself is not to myself.
I’d feel so bad for them. Pry call them Ford.
I'd probably silently question, "What on earth?"
Then I'd probably Google it and assume that the people who named the child had a thing for 14th century royal scandal.
And then I would ask them what they would like to be called and go with that.

I'd expect him to have stepped straight out of a Bertie Wooster short story.
