I imagine this says something about my personal interests, but my association is with Cordell Hull, the "Father of the United Nations." Not sure what the prevailing attitude toward the UN is on this board but I don't know that that's a bad association.

It does read a little dated to me, but I don't think it's bad. It sounds a little surname-y. For a book character, I think it's compelling.

I do like it, but immediately think of Walker: Texas Ranger.

I like it. In my honest opinion, just about anything can be good for a character.

I think it's fine and unique. For a girl you could use Cordelia.

Maybe if his job was making cord?

What sort of book? What kind of character?

Don't usually care for surnames as given names but this one is kind of okay. Would think it very book character-ish.
