Help[Opinions] Winsome and Terrance/Terence?
What do you think of Winsome as a name? Winsome Earle-Sears, the Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, and her husband Terence made me think about the names.
Do you think Terence/ Terrance will make a comeback?
What are some word names that you like?
Edit: I misspelled the lieutenant governor's husband's name. It is Terence Sears.

My unapologetic and spectacular disregard for Winsome Sears' politics aside, I think the name Winsome sounds very masculine and don't care for it regardless.
I actually quite like Terence, and am not unalterably opposed to spellings like Terrance and Terrence. I don't care for the usual nicknames associated with Ter- names (Terry, etc.), though I don't think one has to use them.

I think Winsome could work as a name, but it's not my style. I also prefer the name Terrance over Terence, it looks handsome.
I don't think that Terrance would make a comeback soon, but who knows? 🙂

I like Terrence, I can see it coming back around eventually, probably not anytime soon though…I don’t like the nickname Terry.

I actually think Winsome is sweet. I don't think I'd name a real person that, but would fit well for a character or pet.

Terrance is unexpected: whatever happened to Terence? I don't mind Terence, but it's unlikely to retain that form. A friend's wife was pregnant and I asked the obvious question: what will you name the baby? They chorused "Terry", and I said "And if it's a girl?". Still in chorus, they said "Terry" and I was silenced. For the record, she's Terry Ellen, Ellen after a grandmother.
Winsome really doesn't appeal to me one bit. Not a quality I esteem, and Win or Winnie aren't favourites either.
