[Opinions] Tansy
WDYT of the name Tansy? I thought it was such a pretty name because I love flowers, but sadly I looked up the flower and it's a very poisonous flower that causes miscarriages, so I sadly won't use it.

My biggest issue with this name is admittedly unfair, but it just comes across as rather insubstantial to me. I don't dislike it, but I see it as a nickname, or maybe a pet's name.I feel the same way about Lily. I think Lily is a very pretty name, but for whatever reason I can't hear that name and not assume it's a nickname for something longer.I do question the wisdom of naming a child after a poisonous plant, but that's just me. I'd rather see a baby named Tansy than a baby named Poison Ivy.

I think it’s a really cool name, I’ve liked it for a long time, but the whole story behind it is rather off putting.

I quite like it, but I prefer Daisy.

It seems kind of cutesy. Maybe a good name for a rabbit.

I have a friend from school named Tansy. I think it’s delightful. I don’t think you should worry about the herb aspect.

It's nicer than Tamsin and a whole lot nicer than Pansy! And if you gave it to a living child, wouldn't it rather disprove the miscarriage meaning?
