Message: "Helia" - Behind the Name

How do you guys feel about Helia? I prefer it over Ophelia. I’m surprised it hasn’t gotten more popular given it means “sun” and seems to follow the -elia pattern of Amelia, Ophelia, Cecilia, Delia, etc.
I’m thinking about putting it on my PNL.

What would you pair with it?

I find it sort of pretty but it is also a bit forgettable because it's close to Amelia, Helena, Eliana etc. Maybe it makes people think of helium?

I do sort of like it, though. But I say it more like HEH-lee-a (long EH sound).

I'm sorry but I prefer Ophelia, Amelia, Cecilia, and Delia over Helia lol. I would like to use Helena or even Soleil instead of it (just my opinion).

I really cannot warm up to Helia. Lots of helium? The hell y'are? No, really. I far prefer Helen and Celia, either of which I'd happily use IRL.

I'm assuming we are pronouncing it in the same way as those others listed - HEE-lee-ə, or something like that?

I don't care for it. It looks incomplete, and it just doesn't sound pretty to me. I far prefer Ophelia or Cecilia.

The correct pronunciation in Portuguese would be something ELL-ya as the H is silent and é is pronounced like the E in Ella or Bella.

Most people would say it quickly enough that the lee-a syllables merge into lya - in Portuguese, that is.

I agree with your estimation, but sadly it reminds me too much of Helium.
