[Opinions] Cadence
How do you guys feel about Cadence?
I feel like it’s one of the few -ence names that’s still stylish. Personally, I love it’s sound and general vibe but I would be too scared to use it irl.
I hate when it’s spelled Kaydence though.

Despite sounding trendy and modern, I also think it sounds relatively nice, although I much prefer it for a boy. I realize how much my opinion is in the minority, but I don't see it going anywhere.

I like Cadence. Why are the names Melody or Harmony acceptable names to so many but not Lyric or Cadence? It’s a name I might have judged several years ago but after thinking about it I can’t identify why it’s not a good name outside of “it’s not established.” It may not be in common use as a name just yet, but it’s not “trying too hard” to be “unique,” so it doesn’t bug me at all.

Personally I don’t like Lyric just because of the sound. It’s very harsh.

I actually like it. Not enough to use on my own daughter, but I would like to see it on others and would use it for a character.
Like you I also enjoy the sound and vibe - it’s bright and happy :) I don’t like the misspellings. Cadi is a cute nn.

Really, my only problem with it is the nickname bc I have a relative named Katie. So that’s another reason I couldn’t use it.

It's a modern name I can get behind, because it doesn't look modern and is similar to Candace.

One of the earlier common noun as names, a trend I find incomprehensible and have yet to see one that is actually attractive. You are right, however, in that misspelling it makes it so much worse.
