It's poular in places with large Polish immigrant communities so no surprise there, a lot of Polish names can be found on the UK popularity charts. I don't like it - makes me think of the character Nikodem Dyzma and I don't think Nikoś is very nice. Niko is ok but I'd rather go with Niko as a full name than use Nikodem.

It's only slightly better than Nicodemus to me.

Personally, I prefer the name Nikolai.

I think I might prefer Nico or Nicodemus. But I see the appeal

I prefer Nicodemus, better if it's Nicholas. Nikodem sounds incomplete to me.
