[Opinions] WDYTO Tangley?
There's a girl I've known for a while (not well, just as an aquiaintence) who's name is Tangley. Tangley Ann. When I think about it, its a very bizzare name. It'd be a cute nickname for a Tamara or something. But Tangley? For a full name? Anywho, The flow of her name is nice despite the bizzare first name and filler second. What do you al think of the name Tangley? When I hear her full name I think of Raggedy Ann, you know, the doll... So: Questins, comments, jabbing and jeering - its all welcome!

It's not attractive sounding at all to me, sorry.~Heather~"Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?" - Ernest Gaines

First thing I saw was "tingly," like "My foot was tingly because it fell asleep." Then I said it out loud, and I immediately thought, "My hair was tangly when I got up this morning." In short, I don't like it at all.

Tangley is a surname, and one variation is common in my family and school. So it doesn't sound odd to me... I kind of like it! The ending -gley isn't very feminine, but it's cute and I like it. I'd probably never use it, but it's definetely much better than MacKenzie in any spelling! I'd prefer Tingley, however. And Anne with an e.I don't think of Raggedy Ann, I think of my relatives :-P, but I see how you could think of that.I like cute spunky nicknames as full names lately, though a month ago I liked full names with nicknames. I think Tingley/Tangley is a cute name! And it could work as a nickname for lots of things! Some other variations of that surname:
Tingley
Langley
Bingley
Angley
Ingley
EnglanGotta be more... It's the kind that has tons of variations.

very odd name. does she know where it is from or why whoever named her chose it? There are some pretty odd names in my family and people i know, but this might be the oddest. it just reminds me of tangles like in your hair when you brush it and the brush gets caught.

i don't like it. I think parents need to stop naming their kids nicknames and actually giving them real, un-embarrassing names that they won't be ashamed to use in public! Julianne
