I dislike
Winter, but
Wynter's not as bad, it is prettier.
Winter evokes dormancy, harsh conditions, and bleak landscapes ...
Winter is something to endure or survive. Not an appealing name concept, in my opinion, and not any kind of counterpart to
Summer. It strikes me more like Blade or
Nova or
Gunner, kind of a good name for a big heavy-coated dog.
Even Wynter seems to me a little gothy, tough-character, or mascot-ish.
Wynter seems a little more like a surname-name, though - being stylized with a Y makes it much namier, more human, brighter and less aggressive.
