What are your thoughts on Laurie for a girl? Just Laurie.I think it's rather pretty.I know there are plenty of Lauras and Laurens from the 80s and 90s around but from my experience they don't get called Laurie.I'm aware of Lori but dislike the way it looks.Please rate my list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/6232

I agree with you on Lori. I've always prefered the look of Laurie. Always seemed more soft and maybe welcoming? I don't care for it as a full name however, although I'm sure it could work.

Give me Laura any day. Lori is worse, OK, but that doesn't make Laurie good.

I've always loved Laura, but the women I know called Laurie and Lori are twits, so that colors perception.
