[Opinions] Constantine
I watched the movie Good Time recently and the main character’s name was Constantine. The character is a lot to unpack, but I was really captivated by his name. He went by Connie. What do you think of Constantine? Do you like the nickname Connie / Conny?

It’s such a strong and powerful name. I don’t like the nickname Connie for a boy though. I don’t even like Connie as a nickname for Constance.

Constantine is very handsome and dramatic, I love it. It would make a good vampire name. I only like it in full, though - Connie is too feminine and the spelling Conny is an unappealing and ineffective attempt at making it look more masculine. I don't think I'd ever use Constantine, because of Connie, and because it's a bit clunky for everyday use, but it would be great on a fictional character.

It's wonderful, but I'd avoid Connie like the plague.

I knew a Constantine at uni; his mother was Greek but his father and therefore he had the most English of surnames. The effect was dramatic. He was known as Con, which I far prefer to Connie as a male nn. I love Constantine but it really is very long and clumsy for daily use.

I appreciate Constantine a lot, though I'd probably never use it, it's just a lot if name. A GP, I guess. Connie... kind of ruins it.

Oh, Constantine is so elegant, I adore it. Alas, one cannot have Constantine (full name) without an extremely annoying nuisance: nickname Connie. And I can't stand Connie.

Constantine is very pretentious, and Connie is very feminine. I do like Constance on a girl though.
