Ay, your island is pretty close to my own country! It's very pretty and tropical, reminds me a lot of the wilderness/beaches in the PH. And np, anytime 😌
The ethnic background of the character (and his twin) this post is about is Indonesian, so there's that!

Ooh interesting!
But here's the problem of the name Cassian and Cosmo if he's Indonesian:
🔲 They both are used very seldomly.
🔲 We usually don't read the C letter as /k/ we read it with the CH (like Chad) instead.
🔲 Cassian is similar to the Indonesian word kasihan, which means "pity".
From my experience, the safe C names options are Christian, Christo, or Christopher. Otherwise most Indonesians will mispronounce his name.
But! That's a different case if he's an Indonesian-American first-generation who was born in the USA.

Ah, thank you so much for the feedback! I love when people provide it. It's interesting how your people go about pronouncing C since I am used to C being read as "K"!
I would say in his uni he's technically an Indonesian-American born in a variant of New Orleans, Louisiana, which is in the US.

Yes I really appreciate it loads, I'm learning new things everyday! I checked your profile again out of curiosity and you seem to be an avid name enthusiast (and a great one too!)
I'm also a 2006-ite, so we're around the same age :O. Would you like to be friends?
