[Opinions] Nixon
WDYT of the name Nixon? I’ve recently met a guy with this name not too long ago and I was a bit shook. But then I thought sound isn’t half-bad actually, and I like the x in it. It could fit in with a lot of the names around actually. Nix is a nice nickname I think.Anyway, he was named after president and fittingly enough his views seem nothing short of Republican. I was mostly just shocked by the fact a black person actually wanted to honor that man, ahaha.

Why is it any better or worse than other ugly surname as given name like Kennedy? Would never use any of them.

It’s not any better or worse. Quite frankly I don’t care for any presidential name or whatever. Kennedy has a real unfortunate meaning and all I see is chicken when I see.

Nix on Nixon ...His parents must not have ever heard any of the Nixon tapes where he used a lot of racial and ethnic insults and bad language in general. Either that or they're just dumb.
It's a dumb name for a person. I guess it fits in with Kennedy and Madison and Reagan and Carter, but nothing about that ex-presidents' names genre does a thing for me. It would be sort of cute on a dog or cat.
Nix isn't a good nn either. It means no. Or as a verb, to discard,disqualify/put the kibish on something.

Oh snap. I forgot about the Nix on Nixon thing. Dodge what I said about the nickname. Nick is fine. I mean, better than the Dick jokes he might get.

Horrible. It doesn't even really sound like a name, and the only association that it has, is a rather unfortunate one. (Yes I'm talking about Richard Nixon) I'm not fond of Nix either. It has that trendy X sound, but has very little substance.

I find it appalling, and I'm not even American.
