Originally, Page / Paige was a surname given to a young boy in training to become a knight. This training generally involved being an assistant to a man already a knight.
Because I know of the above, I've always much preferred Page (and Paige) on a boy.

I just don't like the name at all. Page for a boy but then it's a pageboy which means several things. I don't think kids would think of it and make fun though.
