[Opinions] Re: Emma or Ella
in reply to a message by Perrine
Where I'm from, I can't use Ella since it's the Spanish word for "she" as well as its pronunciation is different. So in this case I choose Emma.
However, I like Ella more - its perennial, fresh, elegant, colourful while being mature. Short and sweet. If I was from an English-speaking country, Scandinavia or even Hungary (surprised by how recognisable it is throughout Europe!), I'd use it in a heartbeat.
In conclusion, I choose Ella rather than classic but now-überpopular Emma.
