I picture a 15-year-old goth girl insisting her friends call her this, thinking she’s so unique.
Giving it to a baby would be a bit odd. It’s one of those, “we’ve already chosen your personality for you” names.

It's definitely very Gothic

I dislike Bella names in general, and this one has the added disadvantage of being toxic.

It's about as contrived as you can get and still sound somewhat like a name.
I rode the schoolbus briefly with someone who later became a fairly famous (in those circles anyway) porn star using the stage name Belladonna. She did an interview with Diane Sawyer and that's when I found out about her. Apparently the network cut and pasted a lot and made her look pathetic and miserable, which was not the impression she wanted to give and there was some flack, I guess.
Anyway, the only thing I remember about her on the bus was she was a loudmouth, and actually tried to get into an argument with the bus driver about the need for evacuation drills on the bus. In her expert teenage opinion, they were useless because in a fire or other emergency "I'm still gonna panic!"

It’s a poison. It also just means “beautiful woman “ in Italian.

I know it's supposed to be an eerie name, but it's not eerie enough for me. It's cheesy and kitschy, which is fun, but it's also kind of.... boring? Like it's low-hanging fruit in terms of "goth" names.
