What do you guys think would make a good name pair for two close female friends? I was considering Mairwen and Starla, but I'm not sure. Mairwen sounds too soft, but it would still work and be a bit ironic since the character is supposed to be tough (she's a knight or something) so it subverts one's expectations. Thoughts?

I think they sound great together. To me Mairwen does sound a bit tomboyish despite it's meaning (like Gwen), probably because it's a little foreign to me.

Starla sounds more modern in comparison though so it might not work if it's a medieval setting.

It really depends on their age, setting, culture, class, genre Etc. I never really cared for these kind of prompts cuz it's too broad.
