I love Jemima! It my second favorite name (or favorite name, as it's really at a tie with another I love). I'd use it in a heart beat, and I think Jem's a cute nn.
I used to hate it because of Aunt Jemima, the pancake syrup, but I've gotten over that. Now I associate it with the cute little girl in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Gemma's all right, but I don't really care for it.
