I quite like Cath, and she feels fresher than Cathy, which is nice. I'd be excited to meet a Catherine "Cath"! My one hesitation would be the similarity to "calf," though.

I'm not a fan of either. I like Kate, Katie, or just Kat.

Both makes me think of Catholicism.

It's way to British to feel at home on an American woman. British and middle-aged to elderly.
I'd rather just use Kathleen as the full name, or the nn Kitty or possibly Kat or even Kate in a pinch.

Also, cath is commonly shorthand for catheter and I've done a walkathon several times to benefit the "cardiac cath lab."

I've heard it used, and right now I prefer it to Kate, Katie and Kathy/Cathy. Kath for Katharine, Cath for Catherine. Makes sense!

I don't like it. It seems too random. I think of catheters instead of Kathleen or Kathy.

I’m not a fan of Kath as it feels a bit stuffy to me. I prefer the nicknames Rina, Lena or Kitty. Cath does feel a little older than Kath maybe because I have an aunt Catherine who is now in her 70s where as Kath seems like someone in their 50s.
