[Opinions] Maryanne
WDYT about this name. I think it's another variant for Marianne. Give some opinions. Thanks.

It has a kind of whiny quality I don’t enjoy, but it’s not bad.

I pronounce them differently: the Mari- in Marianne rhymes with Larry and the Mary- in Maryanne is identical with Mary.I much prefer Marianne, partly because of Sense and Sensibility but also because I prefer Mary-Anne to Maryanne, though I wouldn't use either. I used to know and like a Maryanne, so that isn't the problem.

Agreed, Marianne and Maryanne sound different in my accent too. Marianne sounds a little more elegant to me.

Don't really like it

It’s sweet, and I find it quaint. I think I prefer the French and German pronunciations over the English, they make it sound like its own name rather than just a combo of Mary and Anne.Edit: misread the question and I gave opinions on Marianne instead of Maryanne. Conclusion: I prefer Marianne and find Maryanne lacklustre for above reasons.
