[Opinions] Liodor ??
I follow Nameberry on Instagram; they just posted a list of "one-of-a-kind" names and Liodor caught my eye. Call me crazy but I kind of like it? In my mind it's a unique combination of Theodore and Leonardo (which happens to be the name of the day), and would have Lio as a cute nickname. Thoughts?

This name seems really off-putting to me. It’s unique but in the “I’m trendy and like inventing names that are close to popular ones” way.

Liodor is super cool! Big crush of mine, and I think it's definitely usable with the popularity of Leo & Theodore :)

It's ok, but I think Leodore may be a better spelling

Names like Liodor, for example Elidur, Elidor (my GPs), Alidor, Polidor — perfect for fantasy characters, IMO. Can't help but imagine a knight or a king, or even a castle named Liodor.
However, some people might find -odor part troublesome.

Yes, my mind wants to make it a combination of Leonardo and Theodore, and because of that my mind wants to spell it Leodor, even though it has a completely different origin! Sun gift is cool meaning!
It would take me awhile to get used to Lio (this spelling) I think.

How exactly do you pronounce it?

I would guess like Theodore but with an L... LEE-oh-door

I kinda like it… reminds me of Lior, which I like good enough. Overall solid name that’s a bit cutting-edge in a good way.
