The mother sounds "special" and someone should have stopped her. Honestly, that is just stupid. Number one, it's not even spelled right, it looks like she can't read or write.
Number two, at least Gwyneth Paltrow (speaking of dimbwitted people) came up with a reason for using Apple as a name besides "it's my favorite food!" naming your child after your favorite food just because just feels so thoughtless and random, like you couldn't even be bothered.
What's next? Pork Chop? Jello? Spinach?
