What are your first impressions of this name?
Pronounced Osha. Is it masculine or feminine? What country would you assume it is from?Thanks

Thanks for replying! It's actually not a real name as far as I know. It's a baby sling company in Scotland. I just love the sound of it. I am 6 months pregnant and still don't have a name so considering everything! I think it's too weird tho. Its a bit like Ossian but I can't really pronounce that correctly and our surname begins with an N so it just blends together in a bad way.

My first impression was that it was a German masculine name. Like someone else said the c seems unnecessary. I prefer Asher.

it's the Occupational Safety and Health Administration ...And the acronym is pronounced Oh-Sha, just as you are pronouncing it.
It's the agency that looks after workplace safety.

First impression is it has one too many letters, the c seems superfluous, and it reminds me of Usha, a feminine Indian name.

Perhaps a Slavic masculine nickname? Maybe Jewish?I only think of the US government agency, OSHA.
