I'd entered predictions much earlier, but then this week I checked (to revise) and saw everything had been wiped clean, so I re-entered my predictions. Now I see what I entered are apparently predictions for 2023 (which I'm sure I'll revise), and can't recall what I originally entered for 2022. Anyway, these are my predictions:1. Liam / Olivia
2. Noah / Charlotte
3. Oliver / Amelia
4. Elijah / Emma
5. James / Sophia
6. Benjamin / Ava
7. Lucas / Isabella
8. William / Mia
9. Theodore / Luna
10. Henry / EvelynI predict Theodore will rise further, but that Jack's momentum isn't quite enough to break the Top 10 as long as Jackson (and its many variants) are also in heavy use. I think Levi will overtake Jack eventually, but I don't know if it's enough to knock Henry off this year. Meanwhile, I believe Luna will replace Harper in the Top 10.I have no idea what Gianna will do, she's a dark horse.

Yes, Luna is almost certainly going to replace Harper for this year's list. I'd be shocked if it doesn't.
I predict Gianna will start to slide down. Then again, it does fit in trend with some other names, so who knows. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May, which means its dates can be from the 8th to the 14th. Last year the list was released on the 6th because Mother's Day was on the 8th, the earliest possible it can be. The way calendars work, the year after Mother's Day is the earliest it can be, the next year it is the latest it can be (unless it's a Leap Year). So this year Mother's Day is the 14th.Top tens actually normally change rather slowly. I don't expect more than one name to come into or drop out of the top ten on either gender's list. And I do think Liam will still be #1 for boys, since last year was the first time Liam actually beat out Jackson for #1 when I combined spellings.

Wait, tomorrow?! Doesn't the list usually come out the Friday before Mother's day? 0_o Don't get me wrong, I'd love if it was released early, but I'm pretty sure it's on the 12th for this year.Anywho without further Ado, here are my predictions for 2022: ๐Ÿ˜Šโˆ† Top 10 for boys: Same batch of names but in slightly different order. Wouldn't be surprising to see Jack, but have no idea what name it would replace. Absolutely predict Oliver to be #1, but don't believe that's happening this year. โˆ† Top 10 for girls: Predict Luna to enter, likely replacing Harper. I personally hope it does. Despite not really liking it, it's certainly much better than Harper. That name is nails on the chalkboard. Some over on a Reddit post I was reading predicted 'Eleanor' to enter the top 10s. I honestly don't think it will. I think it has a better chance the following year or so, if it does at all. Then again, Theodore made a huge jump last year so who knows. It would certainly be a pleasant surprise. ๐Ÿ˜Š โˆ† Top 20 for both:
Aria, Penelope, Asher, Hazel, Isla: Entering
Sofia, Avery, Mason, Ethan: Leavingโˆ† Top 100 for both:
Clara, Emmett, Iris, Eloise, Maria, Raelyn-(hope not), Liliana, Vivian & Ayla: Entering
Everleigh & Peyton (G): Leaving. Sincerely hope I'm right on those two

QuoteI've never met Barbara or Nancy that wasn't over 50.
I've run into quite a few my age (early thirties) and younger, though they were all either immigrants themselves or first-generation Americans. Nancy is used quite a bit among Hispanics, whereas Barbara is still used among Eastern Europeans (I've encountered the nickname Basia several times).I hope you're right about the -ayden name trend altogether dying down. Without it I wouldn't mind the name Aidan at all (or probably Hayden, for that matter); but I'm completely worn out on the sound now.

From what I've seen over the past several years, most of these -Aidan/Aiden/Ayden/Aden/Aeden (God whatever else ๐Ÿ˜‚) type names have been trending downwards on the charts, including Aiden/Aidan/etc. I also wouldn't really mind Aiden/Aidan either if it weren't for all those other names following it, so I completely know what you mean. It needs a long rest.

Also out of curiosity I decided to look up the ranking for these once uber trendy names from last year to the previous list (and just to see) Here's where they currently stand from 2020 to 2021. Indeed most of them seem to be going down, apart from a few exceptions. Aiden #24-#26 (Not by much)
Aidan #261-#286
Adan #470-#461 (โฌ†๏ธ)
Aden #664-#681 (For the longest time, I thought this was a completely separate name, along with Adan. ๐Ÿ˜… Oops, silly me.)
Ayden #112-#143 Brayden #114-#131
Braden #815-#907 (I can see this one falling from the charts. If not this year, then likely in the next upcoming year or so. Although this variant I can tolerate the most. I don't know why but the 'Y' spelling just seems more bratty to me. Caden #242-#230 (โฌ†๏ธ)
Caiden #381-#419
Cayden #268-#289
Kaden #253-#260
Kaiden #139-#162
Kayden #99-#108
Apart from Aiden/etc, this is probably the only other one of these name I'm able to tolerate a bit more than the rest. But there's such an nauseating number of spellings. I'm not even sure I got them all! ๐Ÿ˜… I know there's at least 6 to 7 of them Hayden #177-#176 (โฌ†๏ธ Always seem to be forgetting about this one)Jayden #37-#41 (Pretty soon 'Aiden' will be the only one left occupying the top 100, assuming it doesn't surpass Jayden before then. ๐Ÿ˜Š I doubt it though.
Jaden #292-#307
Jaiden #396-#415

I think it was Monday for a while, after Mother's Day. Then it changed to Friday, so I don't really know. Last year it was on the 6th. I hope the hurry up, haha ;)I'm wondering how much Maeve will jump. I could even see it jumping straight into the top 20, even though that would be unusual. I hear it ALL of the time. Same with Juniper, Wren and Elowen, but I don't think they will jump quite as high.

Oh, same here. ๐Ÿ˜… But hey, what's one more week? (Assuming if it isn't released early) I also predict Juniper and Wren to keep rising. Actually forgot about them. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Maeve is certainly trending fast. I don't see it entering THAT far, but I wouldn't at all be surprised to see it enter the top 100. Maybe even Freya. Can absolutely see them entering the top 10's in a few decades, give or take. As for Elowen, I'm really hoping to see it chart. That would be awesome. The only slight downside to that however, is that 'alternative' spellings such as 'Elowyn' wouldn't be to far behind. ๐Ÿซค Elowen just looks so much nicer.
