[Opinions] Charlene
How do you feel about the name Charlene for a girl? I've always found it very pretty and under-appreciated, however well-known where I am. I prefer it pronounced as, "Shar-leen," but "Char-leen" (as in Charles or Charlie) is also beautiful. I'm not into this as much, but I also like the alternative spelling of Sharlene. For a middle name, I'd use Charlene Jada, Charlene Jasmine, Charlene Estelle, Charlene Makayla, Charlene Rebecca, Charlene Kaya (prefer "Kay-uh" to "Kai-uh"), and Charlene Tessa. What would you use as a middle name if you had a daughter called Charlene?

I vastly prefer Charlene to Charlotte. I wouldn't use it - I used Caroline for my daughter - but it's unremarkable where I live.I know a Charlene Stephanie. Charlene Dinah

I always liked it, even before I had a mother-in-law named Charlene. She pronounces it Shar, as does most everyone. On the nineties sitcom "Designing Women" one of the characters was named Charlene and her name was pronounced with a hard ch like Charles. My MIL's middle name is Anne.Charlene GraceCharlene YvetteCharlene AmandaCharlene Brielle
