There was a mermaid name poll recently by user suncream, it was so cute and well done. I even learned something about history from it, as it inspired a name meaning search for the Nereida, Nerissa, Nerida combos, as well as Asherah.

Lovely, thank you! Are those the names of the sisters of the little mermaid in the fairy tale? They ring a bell. Also, I like names of nymphs and goddesses!

Yes Aquata and Arista are names from the little mermaid! I guess you chould shorten Ariella to Ariel as a nickname. Chould you also give me link to the mermaid name poll I want to check it out.
