[Opinions] Donald
How do you feel about this name at its core, ignoring Donald Trump.

It's a grandpa name. It is so ubiquitous with men of a certain generation that my mind doesn't automatically go to Trump if I hear Don/Donald without a surname. Similarly, when I hear George, I don't immediately think of George W. Bush. I prefer Ron/Ronald but neither name is my style.

It feels dated and kind of bad even without Trump, if anything because of Donald Duck? Trump just gave the name it’s deathblow.

Hi!Actually my first thought is McDonald's.Donald Duck is cute but not a great reference. MacDonald's and Donald Trump ... Just no.

I thought this name was yucky before the Donald Trump presidency. I always hated the Don nickname, too.Post-Trump, just no. Absolutely not.

They're still Donald Duck. Donald is so seldomly used anymore it's impossible to divorce it from either of those two associations tbh.

It's inoffensive, but goofy. I actually know a little Donald, he's maybe four or five, and he's named after his grandpa. Nice little boy.
Don is okay as a nn, but overall I like Ronald/Ron better.

If you ignore Trump, you still have Donald Duck to deal with. But if you ignore both those associations, I actually rather like the name.
